Introducing Ziplist Recipe Saving

Hey guys, many of you know I recently had a site redesign (that I’m still totally loving!), but you may not have noticed a button that now appears at the top of my navigation bar.

Introducing Ziplist

I’ve partnered with Ziplist to bring you guys this cool new feature that I think is really handy! A lot of your favorite food blogs probably already use this (Love & Olive Oil, Two Peas & Their Pod, Damn Delicious, and How Sweet It Is are just a few of mine!), so you might already be familiar with its features.

The new “Recipe Box” button at the top will take you to your own personal recipe box where you can set up an account (if you don’t already have one), and start saving recipes, not just here on Spache the Spatula, but from tons of amazing food blogs across the net.

Recipes inside my posts have this little button:

If you click that, you can save this recipe to your Ziplist recipe box. From inside your box you can view all of your recipes, and even add the ingredients from them to a shopping list!

Clicking on a recipe will bring up this page, where you can choose to add ingredients to a shopping list.

The list allows you to check off items you already have, and even splits it into a section of stuff you need, and typical stuff you might already have at home.

You can also locate great grocery deals in your area simply by clicking the “Shop Smart” button in your recipe box! Then you can find your exact grocery store by zip code.

If you want to easily navigate back on over here to Spache the Spatula, just click the logo in the top left corner.

I hope you guys will enjoy this feature as much as I do. I think it makes it a ton easier to be able to save all your recipes in one place, and to be able to create shopping lists from that same spot! Oh, and they totally have a mobile app to make your life even simpler.

Let me know if you guys have any questions!
