S’mores Cream Puffs
Things are about to get gooey…
…Marshmallow fluff everywhere kind of gooey. In my opinion, that’s a very good thing. There was a very similar situation with my Strawberries & Cream Cookie Sandwiches, and it was awesome.
Yes, I made a s’mores version of cream puffs, because well, I really like to s’mores-ify stuff. And really, what doesn’t sound amazing about a marshmallow fluff-filled cream puff, dipped in chocolate ganache, and sprinkled with crushed graham cracker?!
Have you ever made cream puffs before? They sound hard but they’re so easy. Plus, I make making cream puffs even easier than most because I don’t bother piping the choux pastry onto my baking sheets. I just use a cookie scoop and plop it on there. Honestly, I don’t know why anyone uses a piping bag, because I find there to be zero difference.
Of course I do use a piping bag to fill the cream puffs with fluff, but you don’t even necessarily have to do that if you don’t want to. Instead, you can slice the puffs open, fill with a marshmallow, stick it under the broiler, and proceed as normal. This way also tends to be a bit less messy, if you’re worried about that (though I tend to prefer the fluff, because it’s pretty cool to have an explosion of marshmallow fluff when you bite into these!).
These could be a really fun alternative to the traditional s’mores for tomorrow (or just anytime this Summer)!
By the way, this is another fun recipe that I created for my friends at Food Fanatic, so you should totally read my post over there if you want to hear a little bit more about these, and some tips on preparation!
P.S.— Like cream puffs? Orrrr just found out you like cream puffs (haha)? You should also try my Pistachio Cream Puffs! They’re equally delicious, and equally messy! 😉
OMG!!! These are so darn AH-MAZING…. Ohh the marshmallow fluff… I have never tried making Cream puffs.. cant wait to try these.. 🙂
Thank you so much!
I promise they're so easy! The hardest part is the arm workout you get from stirring the choux pastry, haha
These are the most phenomenal desserts for any summer BBQ!! 🙂
Thank you, GiGi! These would definitely impress at a backyard picnic table 😛
they look great!
Thank you!
I've ALWAYS wanted to try homemade cream puffs. These awesome s'more ones look like the perfect place to start. 🙂
Thanks, Sarah! They are SO good!
