Sun Basket Review and Giveaway!

Something a little different today!

Sun Basket Review!A couple weeks ago, Hannah from Sun Basket reached out to me and asked if I’d like to try out their food/recipe delivery service. Of course I was ab it hesitate at first, because you guys know I’m extremely selective with the products I will share with you, here on the blog. But! She assured me that I could try it and then decide if I wanted to write about it.

On top of that, I was impressed that the service sends all organic and sustainable ingredients, and the recipes looks super delicious and healthy (they all come with calorie counts)!

Sun Basket Review! If you’re not familiar with food delivery services like this, basically they send you a box with pre-measured ingredients for three different meals, and recipe card that tells you how to cook them. You can also choose between a few different meal options (which change weekly), including vegetarian, gluten-free, and paleo options!

Sun Basket was kind enough to offer all of you $20 off your first purchase (you get 3 meals for 2 people for $60) if you use this link to visit their site! The only downside is that they are a west coast company, so their delivery area is a only a few states.

Sun Basket Review! Sun Basket Review!Overall, I was SUPER impressed. Way more so than I thought I would be! The ingredients were fresh and flavorful, and the recipes were innovative and exciting.

The three meals I chose were: Baked Shrimp with Tomato, Orzo, and Mint, Rigatoni with White Beans and Wild Arugula, and Pork Loin with Sweet Potatoes and Chermoula Butter.

Sun Basket Review! Sun Basket Review! My absolute favorite was the shrimp. I’m not even a big shrimp person, but this recipe was fantastic! I am absolutely keeping the recipe card to make with my own ingredients, again!

I loved how the recipes contained really investing ingredients that you don’t see often, like aleppo chile and pre-made chermoula butter.

I was a little disappointed at first to see that the sweet potato pictured on the card was orange while mine was white, but the taste more than made up for it. The only thing that I didn’t like out of all three meals was the radicchio. Mikey andI  both agree that it was too bitter of a component, but the rest of it was so good it hardly mattered.

Sun Basket Review! Sun Basket Review! Sun Basket Review! What I love so much was that each of the meals was crazy easy, but tasted gourmet. Not to mention, I learned three new recipes!

Sun Basket would like to offer one of you the chance to win 3 days of meals for 2 people ($60 value)! Just use the giveaway widget below to enter!
