Too Easy: Vanilla Tequila Sunrise

You know I gotta link the Eagles song for this post…

A tiny twist on this tequila brunch cocktail gives it a creamsicle flavor! | www.spachethespatula.com #recipeIt’s another tequila sunrise… Yep… on repeat as a drank this, and again as I wrote this post, hahah!

So, can you believe this is actually the first time I’ve even had a Tequila Sunrise? Idk… I used to have this weird thing where I liked oranges but not orange juice. I know, I know… that makes absolutely no sense, lol. In any event, I think I’m finally past that oddity!

If you also have never had Tequila Sunrise, it’s like the easiest thing ever to make (only thing easier is made my Moscow Mule hack, lol).

What’s my tiny little spin? I mixed some vanilla bean simple syrup with the grenadine for a bit of a creamsicle vibe. You guys, it’s sooo good! The vanilla bean simple syrup is this one from William’s Sonoma, but it’s also really easy to make yourself. Just mix equal parts of sugar and water in small saucepan. Scrape in the beans from 1/2 of a vanilla bean, and simmer until the sugar is dissolved. Allow to cool before using 🙂
