Weekly Wants
This end of the week post features links to recipes and posts around the web that I’m totally lusting after.
This Hummingbird Cake.
I’m a huge fan of hummingbird cake, and I trust that Martha has perfected it. Plus, look at those candied pineapple rings!
This Pumpkin Toast with Yogurt, Caramelized Butternut Squash, Pomegranate, and Honey.
These are a few of my favorite things. Need to make the pumpkin bread recipe ASAP as it claims to be the best ever.
This Creamy Millet Corn Chowder with Greens.
The super delicious and comforting-looking vegan soup makes me crave summer fresh corn. Looks like I’ll just have to buy a bag of frozen in the meantime!
These Pine Nut Oatmeal Cookies.
I’m super intrigued by the tahini in this recipe. Also, these are vegan (minus honey and sub agave, maple syrup, or brown rice syrup).
These Blackberry Thyme Sparklers.
How unbelievably gorgeous and adorable are these champagne and gin cocktails?
This Coconut Curry Halibut.
I’m a curry junkie and I’ve been on a big fish kick lately, so this dish sounds like perfection to me, right now.
This Strawberries & Champagne Baked Alaska.
Ice cream cake has always, and will always be my favorite type of cake. The pink hue in this is adorable, and who doesn’t like champagne with strawberries?
This Homemade Sriracha.
UM. Where has this been hiding?! Not sure how I missed this. Sriracha is my condiment of choice. I drown almost everything in the fiery liquid. Can’t wait to make my own!
This Mackerel with Crushed Potatoes and Oregano.
I especially like the addition of yogurt to this dish, and of course the crispy skin.
This Vegan Chocolate Cake.
It just looks so moist and rich! I love the use of coconut milk in the ganache frosting.
In general I am totally in love with Mimi Thorisson's blog. I have my eyes on this Gazpacho with Garlic Cream for a while now. http://mimithorisson.com/2012/06/24/gazpacho-with…
These links are superb! Thanks for sharing.. 🙂

What a great round up of recipes. Reminds me I haven't made hummingbird cake in such a long time. Thank you so much for including my vegan chocolate cake 😀
